CommandIR Utilities - Windows
New CommandIR Utilities Beta for Windows, including:
commandir_record - record remote control IR codes

commandir_change_channel_on.bat:
 
To better organize your devices, create a copy of commandir_change_channel_on.bat for each of your devices, then set:
  • deviceName=
  • emitterNumber=
  • enterCommand=
in each file for a centralization of settings. 
 
Save to your central CommandIR Utilities directory, eg C:\CommandIRUtilities
 
Then change the commandline in your PVR software from (example using motorolavip1200 on emitter 2):
commandir_change_channel motorolavip1200 2
to
commandir_change_channel_on_motorolavip1200

A simple channel changing Windows batch script for CommandIR Utilities.
 
Notes:
  • Save this to your CommandIR Utilities directory, example C:\CommandIRUtilities
  • Your remote code files must be in the same directory
  • IR code file names must be DEVICENAME_DIGIT to work - example motorolavip1200_1, motorolavip1200_2, etc
  • Supports three and four digit channels
 
Usage:
commandir_change_channel DEVICENAME EMITTERNUM CHANNELNUM
 
Example - Set a Motorola VIP1200 to channel 345 using IR Emitter #2:
commandir_change_channel motorolavip1200 2 345
 
To use with your PVR Software, use:
C:\CommandIRUtilities\commandir_change_channel motorolavip1200 2

Where your software will add the channel number to the end of the line.

They are command line utilities, so unzip and open a console window to run and test them.  Build .bat file scripts, or use them directly from your programs.
