Sample /etc/lirc/lircd.conf

 

Change, add and remove lines like the sample include "" lines with the full path to Remotes and Transmitters.   Adding them here instead of in /etc/lirc/hardware.conf.

 

The Ubuntu Remote Control Configuation utility adds them to /etc/lirc/hardware.conf, and the new Ubuntu LIRC script, now assuming a driver cannot both send and receive, tries to setup two lircd instances needlessly (and painfully).  Just put them as includes in /etc/lirc/lircd.conf!
